Dr. Melanie Martin


 

Dr. Martin is a researcher and professor at the University of Winnipeg, Department of Physics. Her BSc (Hons) Physics is from University of Manitoba. Her MS, MPhil and PhD are from Yale University in Applied Physics/Biomedical Engineering. She was a postdoc then an Associate Scientist at Caltech. In 2004, Dr. Martin started at University of Winnipeg in the Physics department, where she is now a Professor and the Director of the In Vivo Experimental Animal Magnetic Resonance Microscopy Centre. Dr. Martin's research focuses on the development of new magnetic resonance imaging techniques to study central nervous system diseases.

 

Dr. Michael Czubryt

Dr. Czubryt earned his Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Physiology from the University of Manitoba, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Czubryt established the Molecular Pathophysiology Laboratory at the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Centre in late 2003. He is currently appointed as a tenured Professor of Physiology and Pathophysiology at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Czubryt was the 2004 recipient of the McDonald Scholarship from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the 2006 Young Investigator Award from the Canadian Cardiovascular Society.


Dr. Gilbert Miranda

 


Dr. Gil has committed himself to his patients, community and province with a goal to transform health care. Not a day goes by when Dr Gil does not think about “What would it take for everyone to be healthy?” Dr. Gil owns and operates one of the largest natural health centres in North America. Currently, he works very closely with an extraordinary team of 12 chiropractors, 2 MDs, 15 massage therapists and 25 awesome support staff who are truly working together to achieve health and wellbeing for the community. In his free time Dr. Gil enjoys having fun, going on adventures with his dog Jack (seen pictured on the right!), and hanging out with his niece and nephews.

Dr. Richard Leicht

 

 

 

 

Dr. Richard Leicht is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Toronto and did a vitreoretinal fellowship in Memphis, TN. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Max Rady School of Medicine, University of Manitoba.  He holds a staff position at the Misericordia Health Centre , ophthalmology department.  Dr. Leicht is in full time practice as a retina sub specialist at the Winnipeg Clinic.

 

 

 


Zahid Zehri

 

 


Zahid Zehri is the Pharmacist/Owner of Shoppers Drug Mart in Winkler. Currently he is a licensed Pharmacist in Manitoba and Ontario. Zahid received his license to practice Pharmacy in Manitoba in July 2004. Since he received his license of practice, he has been working in a Community Pharmacy. Previously, Zahid had worked with WholeSale Club, Drugstore Pharmacy, and Pharmasave.  Zahid Zehri is an active member of the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba and Pharmacist Manitoba. Zahid is highly motivated and a strong advocate of profession of Pharmacy in Manitoba. He is fully engaged in all Pharmacists Manitoba advocacy activities locally and at the provincial level. Currently he is also the president of the Winkler Cricket Club.
