McMaster Health Sciences
Kimberly Wong is a second year student in McMaster's Honours Bachelor of Health Science (Hons. BHSc) program, taking courses such as Anatomy and Physiology, Epidemiology and Biochem. Though heavily involved in her course of study, she encourages breadth of experience and learning outside the classroom. She competes on the McMaster Varsity Cheerleading team, as well as volunteering through the Athletic Department.
Medical school is a widely discussed topic in science programs, with facts and anecdotal experiences often having negative effects on possible applicants. Through Project Pulse, Kimberly hopes to prompt students to educate themselves about the admission process and overall experience, hopefully resulting in a better understanding of what it all entails.
